October 4. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, met his Hungarian counterpart Peter Siyarto to discuss the current state of relations between the two countries and prospects for the development of cooperation, to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The ministers agreed to intensify the bilateral political consultations and enrich the inter-ministerial cooperation program until 2023.
The ministers considered proposals to activate inter-parliamentary dialogue and strengthen ties in the field of education, including the Stipendium Hungaricum program.
Particular attention was paid to the deepening of cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular, the UN, OSCE and TDT.
The Hungarian side confirmed its readiness to support the signing of the renewed agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union as soon as possible.
