A year after the launch of direct flights between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Kuwait, Jazeera Airways is the third largest city in Uzbekistan that has announced the opening of flights to Namangan, Dunyo News agency reports.
The airline plans to fly three times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The first plane is expected to land on September 30, 2022.
The implementation of direct flights with Kuwait on the routes of Tashkent and Namangan will help to develop trade-economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and will significantly increase the number of foreign tourists coming to Central Asia’s most populous state.
Jazeera Airways is also working on the Kuwait-Samarkand-Al-Kuwait route.
"This route provides an opportunity for the people of Namangan and the valley as a whole to travel to the Persian Gulf countries. In addition, it creates unique comforts for pilgrims who want to perform the Umrah trip," said Ildar Abubakirov, the representative of the airline.
Jazeera Airways is the national airline of Kuwait, and since 2004 it has been flying to Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Middle East and European countries. This airline launched a Kuwait-Tashkent flight in 2021.
