From January-August 2022, Uzbekistan exported nearly 7,000 tons of chilli worth 6 million dollars to 19 countries which is less than 2.9 thousand tons compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee reports.

Regions that exported the most pepper abroad:
- Surkhandarya region - 1.7 thousand tons;
- Fergana region - 1.2 thousand tons;
- Jizzakh region - 777 tons.
