In January-August 2022, 77,400 tons of bananas were imported to Uzbekistan which is almost twice as many compared to the same period last year (36,200), the State Statistics Committee reports.
Ecuador managed to sell whopping 76.6 thousand tons of bananas to Uzbekistan, followed by Kazakhstan and Turkey in the 8th month of 2022:
- Ecuador - 76.6 thousand tons;
- Kazakhstan - 426 tons;
- Turkey - 197 tons;
- India – 144 tons.
