President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is participating in the extraordinary 34th session of the Joqarǵí Keńes (Supreme Council) of Karakalpakstan.
The head of state noted that one of the main goals is to ensure that fundamental reforms based on the "Everything is for the dignity of man" principle should penetrate into every city and district, village, and household of Karakalpakstan.
"I have visited this land more than any region. For the past 6 years, I came here 9 times and had many conversations with elders, businessmen, and youth.
During this period, we adopted 31 decrees and decisions aimed at the comprehensive development of Karakalpakstan.
The number of business entities in the region has doubled, and nearly 4,500 investment projects have been launched.
During the visit in February this year alone, we allocated 1.5 trillion soums for the all-round development of the region," said the president.
It was noted that the drinking water supply in Karakalpakstan has increased from 40% to 68%, the coverage level of preschool education has increased from 32% to 76%, and the per capita income has doubled.
