By the presidential decree, Odil Abdurahmanov has been appointed to the position of adviser to the president of Uzbekistan on youth, science, education, health, culture and sports issues.
Abdurahmonov, 44, served as a chief adviser in the presidential administration before his appointment as the rector of Tashkent State Transport University.
He also headed the Republican Scientific Center for Employment Assistance, Labor Protection and Social Protection of the Population.
Odil Abdurahmonov replaced Abdujabbor Abduvahidov, 65, on his position who had been dismissed from his post due to the high volume of complaints from the public noted by the head of the presidential administration, Sardor Umurzakov at the meeting.
