Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decision "On the international celebration of the 1050th anniversary of the great thinker and encyclopedist Abu Rayhan Beruni".
According to the President's decision:
- In 2022-2023, the 1050th anniversary of the birth of Abu Rayhan Beruni will be widely celebrated internationally under the auspices of UNESCO;
- By the end of 2023, the Abu Rayhan Beruni complex will be built in the Beruni district of Karakalpakstan, and scientific-educational, cultural, recreational and tourism facilities will be organized in its territory;
- an international science Olympiad named after Abu Rayhan Beruni will be held in the Khorezm region among students of general secondary education organizations, academic lyceums and vocational schools;
- An international award named after Abu Rayhan Beruni will be established;
- A selection of scientific projects will be announced in accordance with the requirements of the state order for scientific-research works on the study of Beruni's life and heritage;
- An international conference dedicated to the 1050th anniversary of the birth of Abu Rayhan Beruni will be held in Tashkent;
- In 2022-2023, feature, multiplex and full-length documentary films, and multi-part television series dedicated to the life and scientific and educational activities of Abu Rayhan Beruni will be created and shown in foreign countries;
- In 2022-2023, the Art Academy and the "Hunarmand" association will organize exhibitions of fine artworks, miniatures, examples of folk art, and photographs dedicated to the life and scientific and educational activities of Abu Rayhan Beruni throughout the republic. constitutes
