Uzbek Ambassador, Abat Faizullayev met with the newly appointed Deputy Secretary of State for the Development of Eastern Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Adam Stifter, Dunyo news agency reports.
The parties noted that in spite of the pandemic, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyrto has visited Uzbekistan six times since the beginning of 2020 laying a solid groundwork to further develop the bilateral relations.
The official visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Uzbekistan in March 2021 also has strengthened relations between sides in the trade-economic, investment, financial-technological and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The diplomats discussed the possibilities of conducting consultations between the legal departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to improve the legal basis of cooperation between two states.
