On August 22, the Ministry of Agriculture hosted Korea’s Rural Cooperative Corporation (KRC) and the Korean Agency (EPIS) for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Education Development.
The Ministry of Agriculture and EPIS jointly have announced the new project - "Introduction of modern Korean technologies for year-round strawberry cultivation", funded by the South Korean government's official development assistance (ODA).
The $3.7 million project will include a modern strawberry greenhouse in the Tashkent region, Ukurochirchik district (the Agroservices Center under the Ministry of Agriculture) and an in vitro laboratory (IVD) for growing high-quality strawberry seedlings which will be built, equipped and monitored by Korean experts.
The promising project is envisaged in the branding and marketing of Uzbek strawberry products.
