In Uzbekistan, direct investment in companies has fallen sharply. The information is provided to "Daryo" by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
In the first quarter of 2022, Uzbekistan received $ 298.8 million in foreign direct investment compared to the same period last year which was $ 251.1 million.
However, this growth was due to the fact that Uzbek companies borrowed from their vacant companies - from $ 47.9 million to $ 291 million.
Additionally, net inflows to capital doubled - from $ 268.6 million to $ 131.1 million.
