The official visit of the Turkmen President has continued in Samarkand where he visited the Islam Karimov Mausoleum accompanied by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President's press service reports.
Guests from Turkmenistan visited the Mirzo Ulugbek museum complex after the imam’s recitation of the Koran. The complex consists of two halls and six departments containing more than a hundred items, books, manuscripts, and the original quadrant instrument of that period.
The presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also visited the mausoleum of Amir Temur. The guests were told about the life of Amir Temur, his military skills, and his huge state.
After that, the heads of state headed to the Registan complex. Three monuments in the complex - Mirzo Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillakori madrasas erected in the architectural traditions, patterns aroused great interest among Turkmen guests.
