Uzbekistan Airways flight from Jeddah with the first 245 Haj pilgrims on board, landed at Tashkent International Airport on July 14 at 21:50 local time.
Passengers were welcomed at the departure hall of the capital airport and escorted to the "Novza" mosque. The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan recommends meeting the pilgrims not at the airport, but in front of the "Novza" mosque, in order to avoid traffic jams in the terminal and pre-airport areas.
A total of 45 flights are scheduled to be made from Jeddah to Tashkent, Namangan, Karshi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urganch and Nukus from July 14 to 31.
