The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhammedov, arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit on July 14.
After the official ceremony and the meetings, the heads of ministries and departments of the two countries in the presence of the heads of state signed a total of 19 documents, these are:
- Inter-departmental protocol "On the exchange of information on the transportation of goods in mutual trade";
- "A memorandum of understanding in the field of inter-museum cooperation";
- Interagency agreement "On transport-transit" and memorandum "On the further strengthening of cooperation in the field of railway transport";
- Interagency cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan for 2022-2023;
- Intergovernmental program on scientific and technical cooperation for 2022-2024 and interdepartmental agreement "On joint scientific research projects";
- Agreement "On cooperation with the International Institute of Central Asia and the Institute of International Relations" and the interdepartmental cooperation program for 2023-2024;
- Intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism;
- Intergovernmental agreement on management, protection and rational use of Amudarya water resources;
- Trade-economic cooperation and industrial cooperation development program for 2022-2025;
- A plan of measures to ensure the practical implementation of the provisions of the Intergovernmental Agreement on the establishment and regulation of the activities of the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan cross-border trade zone - Trade Center.
