The Prosecutor General's Office has detected a number of law violations and suspicious activities the of Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture.
The Office has reported the lack of transparency in the university admission and application processing.
In particular, the video images of the creative exam results of more than 6,000 applicants were not documented, the title sheets of 92 applicants who took the creative exam were not kept and written exams were not done, the practical works of 77 applicants were evaluated by the admissions committee without proper confidentiality.
As a result, 27 per cent of the 132 students who were admitted to study with the highest scores in creative exams received an unsatisfactory grade at the end of the 1st semester.
Also, although the State Admission Commission allowed admission for full-time education in the second speciality, some students were also illegally admitted to a correspondent education.
In addition, the staff number was crooked leading to the embezzlement of 327 million soums, 89 million soums were paid for 1,588 hours of undone lessons classes.
The investigation is underway.
