33 teams from 12 countries like Germany, Bahrain, Qatar, and Azerbaijan, and a total of 15 teams from Turkey itself from naval and ground special forces, and special operations forces participated in the competition that included 10 days of day and night training courses.
The shooters had to snipe at aims from helicopters and boats which made the competition more interesting and intense.
Additionally, the participants were not allowed to use the laser rangefinders and had to target at a distance of 1000 meters and more using optical devices and shot it within the specified time.
Plus, the special servicemen had to move through the mountainous terrain for 6 hours according to the magnetic azimuth at night and shoot a target at an uncertain distance.
" Although there is no complete information about the targets and exercises, our servicemen successfully fulfilled all the requirements and took a second-place among 12 national teams. The first place was awarded to the host country," the report says.
