From January to July 2024, the foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Iran reached $255.8mn. This figure represents a 17.2% decline compared to the same period in 2023 when trade turnover was $299.9mn. As a result, Iran has emerged as one of Uzbekistan's 20 largest trade partners.
During the first 7M24, Uzbekistan's exports to Iran amounted to $86.8 mn, reflecting a decrease of 27.6% from $110.8mn in the same period last year. Conversely, imports from Iran totalled $169.1mn, a decline of 11.8% compared to $189.1mn from January to July 2023.
Uzbekistan's total foreign trade turnover for the same period was $36.8bn, marking an increase of 5.4% from $34.9bn in 2023. The country’s exports reached $14.7bn, while imports totalled $22bn during the first 7M24.
