Andijan is a major industrial hub, home to over 11,000 enterprises contributing more than 10% to Uzbekistan’s overall industrial output. The region has established 47 industrial zones, where 1,000 projects worth UZS 2.3 trillion ($177mn) have already been implemented, generating employment for 18,000 individuals.

To further boost cooperation and innovation, the Andijan region hosted a regional industrial fair that brought together manufacturers, investors, and entrepreneurs from across the country. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the event and explored the diverse range of products on display — nearly 500 types produced by 110 enterprises.
The showcased projects spanned a wide range of sectors, including automotive and mechanical engineering, textiles, electrical equipment, digital technologies, building materials, food, floriculture, beekeeping, and fisheries.

During his visit, the president spoke with business leaders and innovators, emphasizing the importance of supporting and expanding successful practices. He highlighted the need to replicate these initiatives in other regions to encourage nationwide industrial growth and job creation.
Officials and entrepreneurs from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, various regions, and Tashkent were invited to the fair, fostering a spirit of cooperation through discussions on joint production, trade opportunities, and investment partnerships.

Currently, 288 investment projects worth $1bn are underway in the region. Of these, 119 projects are scheduled to be launched this year alone, creating over 4,000 new jobs. The region aims to increase its industrial exports to $47mn in 2025.
One of the key outcomes of last year's presidential visit to Andijan was the allocation of 16 hectares of land in Altynkol district to develop a dedicated furniture cluster.
Today, this complex hosts more than 100 workshops and 236 showrooms and sales points, further cementing the region’s reputation as an industrial and entrepreneurial powerhouse.
