The aircraft, an Airbus A330, landed in Navoi at 06:27 (GMT+5). The arrival was ceremonially marked with a traditional water arch to celebrate the launch.
CMA CGM Air Cargo has scheduled regular flights on this route, operating five times a week. These flights will include a technical stop in Navoi, facilitating refuelling and crew changes. The introduction of this route underscores the airline’s commitment to enhancing its global logistics network.
CMA CGM Air Cargo, established in 2021 as the aviation division of the CMA CGM transport group, is headquartered in Paris. Earlier discussions between CMA CGM Air Cargo and Uzbek authorities, which took place on June 4, set the stage for this new route. During these discussions, led by General Director Damien Mazaudier, the delegation from CMA CGM Air Cargo explored collaboration opportunities with representatives from Uzbekistan Airports, the Uzaviatsiya Agency, and the Uzaeronavigatsiya Center.
The primary focus of the discussions was to establish Navoi International Airport as a key transfer point for CMA CGM Air Cargo’s operations.
