American professional boxer Terence Crawford emerged victorious over Uzbek boxer, Israil Madrimov. The bout took place at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California on August 3. At the end of 12 rounds, all three judges gave the victory to Crawford with scores of 116:112, 115:113, 115:113. The fight was Crawford's first at the weight and also his first time back in the ring since thrashing Errol Spence Jr. in July 2023 to become undisputed welterweight champion.
Terence Crawford boasts an impressive record, having won all 40 of his professional fights, 31 of which were by knockout. His amateur career showcased his talent, with victories over future world champions Mikey Garcia and Danny García.
Israel Madrimov, on the other hand, recently secured the World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight belt after knocking out Russian Magomed Kurbanov in the 5th round of their match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the evening of March 8.
As an amateur, he secured a silver medal in the welterweight division at the 2014 Asian Games and clinched gold in the middleweight division during the 2018 edition. His impressive record includes 10 wins and 1 draw, with no losses in his professional career.
