Uzbekistan has seen a rise in enterprises with foreign investments as of June 1, marking an increase of nearly 20% compared to the previous year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the number of registered enterprises with foreign investments has reached 20,558, up from 17,478 in the same period of 2023.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted this growth during the third Tashkent International Investment Forum held in May, noting that Uzbekistan has attracted over $60bn in foreign investments in recent years.
The surge in foreign investments stresses Uzbekistan's ongoing efforts to attract international capital and diversify its economy.
The Bukhara region has garnered around $4bn in investments over the last seven years. In 2024, the region is actively advancing 607 projects valued at $1.3bn. Moreover, 80 initiatives have been launched with involvement from both foreign and Uzbek investors, amounting to a total investment of $14bn.
