Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenov, and Alexander Rudakov, President of the Agro-Industrial Holding Company "ECO-Culture," announced the construction of the world's largest greenhouse complex in Kazakhstan's Turkistan region.
The Agro-Industrial Holding Company confirmed plans to build the greenhouse complex in the Keles district of the Turkestan region. The first phase, expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and covering 51 hectares, aims to produce over 28,000 tons of tomatoes annually. Subsequent expansion to 500 hectares will enable year-round production of 240,000 tons of vegetables.
The complex will target both domestic and export markets, leveraging established logistics and distribution centres.
President Rudakov emphasized the creation of competitive labour conditions for residents and the contribution to regional development within the framework of social responsibility. The complex is anticipated to generate at least 7,000 jobs.
The Prime Minister's office commended "ECO-Culture" as a leading agro-industrial holding with a 13-year history of stable development in organic vegetable production. The company's product volume exceeded 300,000 tons last year. Kazakhstan's supportive investment climate and measures to promote natural production were also highlighted for their significant role in enabling such critical economic projects.
