The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has embarked on a collaboration with IT company Andersen International to advance the nation's digitalization efforts, as reported by the bank's press service on April 18.
During a business forum hosted by the international company, Central Bank officials discussed strategies outlined in the "Digital Uzbekistan - 2030" initiative, focusing on avenues for digital transformation. A memorandum of understanding was subsequently signed between Andersen International and the Central Bank, outlining cooperation in providing support to the regulator, commercial banks, non-banking financial institutions, and other stakeholders in the financial sector.
In a separate engagement in September 2023, Central Bank officials engaged in discussions with a delegation from the Boston Consulting Group, focusing on initiatives such as the establishment of a unified service center for banks.
