Chairman Akylbek Zhaparov of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers visited Washington, USA, where an agreement was reached between the Kyrgyz government and Google Corporation. The memorandum of understanding focuses on advancing educational transformation in Kyrgyzstan, Kabar.kg reports on April 18.
During discussions with Google's Vice President for Government Relations and Public Policy, Mark Isakovich, Zhaparov introduced the "Altyn Kazyk" ("Polar Star") program, aimed at modernizing the country's school education system. This collaboration marks a milestone as Kyrgyzstan becomes the first in its region to partner with Google Education.
Mark Isakovich expressed Google's eagerness to support Kyrgyzstan's educational vision and broader technological initiatives.
“We are pleased to see that your vision for the future of education in your country matches our vision, and we are pleased to partner with the government of the Kyrgyz Republic in making this vision a reality. We know that you are committed to creating human capital in Kyrgyzstan, and we would like to support these efforts,” he said.
