President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan met with Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, on April 15 for discussions centered on strategic cooperation. Bayramov's visit coincided with his attendance at the second meeting of ministers on the "Central Asia - Gulf Arab States Cooperation Council" in Tashkent, presidential press service disclosed.
The meeting began with Bayramov conveying greetings from President Ilham Aliyev to President Mirziyoyev, highlighting the enduring ties between the two nations. Talks primarily revolved around expanding multilateral cooperation and implementing agreements across various sectors.
Plans for future high-level meetings were also on the agenda, emphasizing the commitment of both nations to further cooperation and development.
Earlier Daryo reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved an international treaty with Azerbaijan, signaling a commitment to enhancing collaboration in the energy domain. The treaty, inked in Baku on August 22, 2023, has been endorsed via a presidential decree.
