Uzbekistan’s Foreign Labor Migration Agency has issued an advisory to citizens on March 27 who are planning to travel to Russia, are already in the country, or are departing from it. This alert comes in the wake of the March 22 terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, which has led to increased security measures throughout Russia.
The agency has urged Uzbek citizens to adhere to the prescribed security protocols while in Russia. This includes carrying valid identification documents that verify their identity and legal status in the country. Additionally, individuals are advised to refrain from unnecessary visits to public areas, avoid interactions with unfamiliar or suspicious individuals, and abstain from storing prohibited photo, audio, or video materials on their electronic devices.
Furthermore, the agency recommends that individuals with upcoming travel plans allow for extra time when heading to train stations or airports, as part of precautionary measures. Should any issues or inquiries arise, Uzbek citizens are encouraged to seek assistance from the consular offices of Uzbekistan or the representative office of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency.
