An explosion rocked the Kandahar region of Afghanistan, resulting in the loss of 19 lives, as per to reports from Herat Times on March 21.
Initial accounts of the incident were brought to light by Etilaatroz, which stated that the explosion occurred within the premises of the "New Kabul Bank" located in the heart of the region.
The explosion took place as employees of the Taliban offices congregated around the bank to collect their salaries. In the aftermath of the blast, 18 injured individuals were swiftly transported to the "Mirvais" hospital for urgent medical attention.
Initially, local publications reported six casualties, but subsequent updates revealed that the toll had tragically risen to 19. Concerns lingered among officials that these numbers could escalate further.
The Taliban security service in Kandahar confirmed the occurrence of the explosion and promptly initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause and circumstances surrounding the devastating incident.
