On October 17, Shavkat Mirziyoyev engaged in discussions with the President of Vietnam, Vo Van Txiong, during his official visit to China. This important meeting was officially announced by the Presidential press service.
The primary focus of their talks was the expansion of mutually beneficial collaboration in trade and economics. Vietnam holds a significant position in Uzbekistan's Asia-Pacific engagement strategy. In the near future, we can anticipate further high-level negotiations, leading to an increase in trade volume and the establishment of new joint ventures.
Notably, joint initiatives are already underway in the fields of agriculture and fisheries. Our leading companies are actively exploring collaboration possibilities across various sectors, encompassing oil and gas, automotive manufacturing, electronics, chemistry, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. Additionally, opportunities for cooperation within special economic zones and industrial parks have been highlighted.
In addition to economic partnerships, Uzbekistan and Vietnam underscored the significance of fostering cultural exchanges, educational connections, and the promotion of tourism to enhance their bilateral relations.
Earlier, Daryo reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has embarked on a working visit to China for participation in the third International Belt and Road Forum taking place in Beijing.
In addition, a significant tech pact was signed between Uzbekistan and China, focusing on 5G advancements, network security, and information technology cooperation, aiming to boost digital landscapes in both nations.
