Uzbekistan Airways has announced the introduction of an additional flight on the Tashkent - London route, further enhancing connectivity between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.
In addition to its existing flights to Heathrow, the national carrier will now operate flights to Gatwick, providing travelers with increased options for reaching their destination.
Weekly Schedule Details
Commencing from April 7th, the new flights to Gatwick will operate every Sunday. The flight schedules for both airports, listed in local time, are as follows:
Departure from Tashkent: 10:55
Arrival in London: 14:35
Departure from London: 16:10
Arrival in Tashkent: 3:00
Resumption of Flights Amid Pandemic Challenges
The introduction of the additional flight underscores Uzbekistan Airways' commitment to gradually restoring air travel connectivity in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. After a hiatus caused by pandemic-related restrictions, the national carrier resumed flights to the UK capital in August 2021, initially operating two flights per week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Earlier, it was reported that Humo Air, Uzbekistan's low-cost airline, is set to temporarily suspend all flights starting March 10 as part of its operational "reboot" strategy in preparation for the launch of international flights.
