Turkmenistan Airlines reports that it has launched flights on the Ashgabat-Milan (Turkmenistan-Italy) route, which will be operated twice a week. The flights will be operated by Boeing 777-800 aircraft. Tickets for this route can be purchased online.
Apart from the fact that this is an interesting country still unknown to mass tourism, there are several Italian companies operating in a country where natural gas resources are of paramount importance for the local economy, writes MxPairport (Italy).
From the capital, Ashgabat, it is possible to travel within the country and to the five Central Asian countries. There are convenient connections in less than three hours to Beijing, Bangkok, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City.
Turkmenistan Airlines is the country's only national carrier and flies to ten destinations in Europe and Asia.
The airline is a partner of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Space Operations Board and the Interstate Aviation Committee. The local fleet also includes Airbus aircraft.
