Fasihuddin Fitra, the chief of staff of the Taliban government, expressed concerns regarding the continued control of Afghanistan's airspace by the United States, Aamaj News reports.
As per Fasihuddin, Afghanistan's airspace remains occupied by American forces, raising apprehensions within the Taliban leadership. He warned of potential retaliation, including suicide attacks, in response to any perceived aggression or invasion against Afghanistan.
Restructuring Military Units
Fasihuddin disclosed that units of suicide forces have been disbanded, with their members integrated into specialized units within the Taliban army. He emphasized that following the withdrawal of international forces and the collapse of the previous government, significant restructuring has occurred within the Taliban's military apparatus.
Earlier, it was reported that Taliban representatives engaged in negotiations with the U.S. government in Doha regarding several important issues during their talks in Doha. Their key concerns include being removed from the sanctions lists, the unfreezing of assets (ZVR), and the cessation of American UAVs operating in Afghan airspace.
