President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the specialized sports boxing school of Bakhodir Jalolov in Tashkent on March 5. Jalolov, a decorated champion in both amateur and professional boxing, symbolizes the nation's prowess in the sport. In recognition of his achievements, a decree issued on March 14, 2022, established the Bakhodir Jalolov School of Sportsmanship in Boxing, press service of the president reported.
The school aims to train international-level boxers under the guidance of experienced coaches, adhering to international standards and incorporating best practices. Housed in a modern four-story building, the facility boasts state-of-the-art amenities including a main gym, swimming pool, medical office, dining room, classrooms, dormitories, and underground parking.
President Mirziyoyev underscored the significance of supporting youth initiatives, declaring the current year as the "Year of Support for Youth and Business."
"We constantly pay special attention to this issue and create the necessary conditions for young people. They have great potential and drive. And it’s not without reason that we are one of the world leaders in boxing. The further development of this potential of our talented young people is the goal of creating this school. Now the school of Bakhodir Jalolov, like the Presidential schools, will serve as a model in its direction. Methodology, nutrition, medicine, boxing psychology will also be developed in regional sports schools,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
