Shenzhen Neptune Logistics Co. Ltd. is set to establish modern A+ category warehouses in Uzbekistan, investing up to $15mn in the project, Uztemiryulcontainer reports.
The head of Uztemiryulcontainer, Akmal Kamalov, held discussions on March 5 with Nancy Tang, the commercial director of the Chinese firm, to explore avenues for collaboration. The focal points of the meeting included the enhancement of international transport corridors and the elevation of logistics service standards.
Utilizing Logistics Capacities
Particular attention was given to the joint utilization of logistics capacities owned by the subsidiary Uzbekistan Railways, along with the wagon and container fleet. Both parties expressed their mutual interest in offering distribution services collectively.

Exploring Multimodal Routes
Discussions also revolved around opportunities for collaboration in organizing container transportation along the multimodal route "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan." The plan entails the transportation of cargo from Chinese provinces such as Xi'an, Chengdu, and Shenzhen to Turkey and EU countries.
Earlier, it was reported that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Hamkorbank have joined forces to bolster the logistics capabilities of the Multimodal Trans Terminal (MTT) company.
