    Joint Development of Transport Corridors

Transport infrastructure development and cooperation in railway transport were key topics of discussion. Both leaders explored opportunities for joint development of transport corridors, aiming to enhance connectivity and facilitate efficient movement of goods and people between Uzbekistan and Russia.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the ongoing implementation of agreements forged during President Mirziyoyev's visit to Moscow in October 2023. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the steady reinforcement of the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.

President Mirziyoyev and President Putin commended the productive outcomes of various bilateral engagements in 2023, including meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, regional forums, educational and medical exchanges, as well as cultural events. They particularly noted the positive momentum in trade relations and the advancement of joint projects across diverse sectors such as industry, energy, transport, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.
