UAE's ATRC and Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies forge AI partnership

On the sidelines of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024, the UAE's Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry Of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ATRC reports. The collaboration aims to revolutionize Uzbekistan's technological landscape by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, leveraging ATRC's technical prowess.

    Driving AI Integration in Uzbekistan

The partnership envisions the widespread adoption of Falcon Large Language Models (LLMs) and Falcon-powered solutions across Uzbekistan's digital infrastructure and governmental services. Uzbekistan, under the agreement, commits to promoting Falcon's utilization within diverse applications and encourages entities to join the 'Falcon Foundation', aimed at enhancing open-source Falcon models.

    Pioneering Global Collaborations

The MoU signifies a milestone, extending Falcon's capabilities beyond the Middle East, as Uzbekistan becomes a state-level partner. This strategic collaboration paves the way for international initiatives, setting new benchmarks in technological innovation globally.

    Optimistic Projections

His Excellency Shahab Issa Abu Shahab, Director General of ATRC, expressed optimism, highlighting the commitment to fostering global AI partnerships. He emphasized ATRC's dedication to supporting Uzbekistan in deploying Falcon's cutting-edge solutions across various sectors.

H.E. Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, echoed the sentiment, underlining the joint efforts to integrate Falcon AI models into Uzbekistan's technological landscape. He emphasized the potential of this collaboration to accelerate innovation and overcome digital challenges.

Falcon LLM: A Game-Changer in AI

Falcon LLM, part of the Falcon series developed by the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), is hailed as a world-leading open-source AI model. ATRC, along with its commercialization arm VentureOne, launched AI71, a pioneering AI company, to provide specialized AI models to clients, offering decentralized data ownership options. This initiative underscores ATRC's commitment to deploying Falcon's suite of LLMs effectively.
