In a riveting showdown at the ongoing Asian Weightlifting Championship, Ruslan Nurudinov of Uzbekistan secured his fifth championship title in the men's 109 kg weight category, the National Olympic Committee's press service reported.
Nurudinov, an athlete with an Olympic gold medal from Rio 2016 and a defending world champion, once again showcased his prowess on the weightlifting stage. With a combination of sheer determination and experience, he secured gold medals in the snatch and two wrestling events, ultimately achieving a total weight of 382 kg (175+207).
