The Asian Senior Weightlifting Championship was held in Manama, Bahrain on October 6-16.

About 200 athletes from 30 countries of the continent took part in the competition. The national team of Uzbekistan won 6 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze medals, total of 19 medals. Also, men took the first place with 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.
After a short rest, the members of the national team will start preparing for the World Championship, which will be held in Bogotá, Colombia in December of this year.
