The Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID), hosted a comprehensive briefing attended by representatives from the Embassies of Central Asian nations on January 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported. The event served as a platform to outline the various projects and initiatives planned for the year 2024.
Diplomats from the Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan were given an overview of the upcoming KazAID programs aimed at fostering collaboration and strengthening ties between Central Asian countries.
A focal point of the briefing was the "Dostyk" program, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of civil servants from Central Asian nations in the areas of effective public administration and e-government. Scheduled to take place from April 1 to April 5, 2024, the program is a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.
KazAID highlighted its commitment to fostering regional cooperation by providing a platform for specialists from the Central Asian region to participate in various programs throughout the year. Apart from the "Dostyk" program, the initiatives include the "Dostyk Diplomacy" and "Avicenna Health" programs.
The "Dostyk Diplomacy" program is expected to facilitate diplomatic skills development, offering educational courses, expert meetings, and a cultural program. Simultaneously, the "Avicenna Health" program will focus on health-related aspects, providing a platform for professionals in the field to engage in knowledge exchange and collaborative efforts.
KazAID's overarching goal is to strengthen cooperation among expert communities and government officials in Central Asian countries. By encouraging the exchange of experiences and best practices through these programs, the agency aims to contribute to the development and prosperity of the region.
