In the latest rankings released by research center StartupBlink, Kazakhstan has solidified its position as the leader of the Central Asian startup landscape, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan reported. The 2023 global index reveals remarkable growth, with Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, catapulting 25 positions worldwide to secure the top spot regionally.
The remarkable surge in rankings is credited to the exceptional strides made by Astana Hub, Central Asia's largest technology park, in fostering innovation and supporting the growth of startups. In recognition of its outstanding success, Astana Hub was honored with the prestigious Startup Ecosystem Award.
Mahmod Shamsi, Head of Business Development at StartupBlink, emphasized the significance of Astana's achievement in the global startup landscape.
"Astana's award for the best startup ecosystem in Central Asia marks an important stage in the development of the region. Astana Hub has played a key role in this success by creating an enabling environment for innovation and startup growth. This achievement highlights Kazakhstan's growing influence and leadership in the Central Asian startup scene," Shamsi noted.
The Startup Ecosystem Awards, presented by StartupBlink, utilize a comprehensive algorithm that considers over 40 parameters, including population size, regional influence, and other factors. This meticulous evaluation process ensures an objective and thorough acknowledgment, promoting the development of startup ecosystems on a global scale.
Bagdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed his enthusiasm for the recognition.

The Startup Ecosystem Awards presented by StartupBlink acknowledge the accomplishments of startup ecosystems through the utilization of StartupBlink's algorithm. This recognition celebrates Uzbekistan's achievements and underscores the crucial role played by IT Park Uzbekistan in nurturing and promoting advancements within the Foodtech ecosystem.
