In a recent meeting, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland, Amirsaid Agzamkhojaev, and the President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Poland, Marek Klochko, discussed the future of bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation. The meeting, as per the Dunyo News Agency, also included preparations for an upcoming business forum.
Business forum
The business forum is set to take place within the framework of the 8th meeting of the Uzbek-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Tashkent in April 2024. The Polish side emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation with representatives of Uzbekistan’s business circles, particularly in the fields of e-commerce, information technology, agriculture, and the food industry.
Uzbek-Polish Business Council: first in Central Asia
A significant outcome of the 8th meeting of the commission was the decision to establish the Uzbek-Polish Business Council. This marks a milestone as it will be the first Business Council that Poland has established in the Central Asian region, adding to its existing structures with eight other countries.
Gratitude and future collaborations
The Polish side expressed gratitude for the active participation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in study visits to the Polish voivodeships. These visits were organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry for advisers on trade and economic issues of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Warsaw.
