Fitch Ratings will continue to include Tashkent city in its ratings following a decision by Tashkent city's Council of People's deputies. This decision comes after the agency had previously withdrawn the stable rating of Tashkent city "BB-, as per Daryo.
The decree came into force:
- They approved the proposal of the Tashkent city administration to engage the rating agency “Fitch Ratings” to determine the position of the city of Tashkent in the international rating.
- Deputy mayors of Tashkent city, Kh. Shakirov and Sh. Rakhmanov have been tasked to take appropriate measures regarding the issue of signing an agreement with Fitch Ratings.
The affirmation reflects Fitch Ratings’ expectation that Tashkent City’s debt sustainability metrics will remain in line with its ratings.
