Uzbekistan's large enterprises have reported the production of 464,200 washing machines in the first ten months of 2023, as per the preliminary data from the Statistics Agency.
The production volume marks an impressive 10.8% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
Breaking down the numbers, large enterprises produced 61,300 washing machines in October 2023 alone. From January to September 2023, the cumulative production reached 402,900 units, reflecting a 10.9% growth compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
The trend of growth is persistent, with September witnessing the production of 61,500 washing machines, making a total of 341,300 units for the period of January to August 2023. This represents a substantial 13.2% increase over the same period in the previous year.
In August 2023, large enterprises manufactured 71,000 washing machines, contributing to a total production of 270,300 units from January to July 2023. This marks a noteworthy 9.5% growth compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
July 2023 saw the production of 36,900 washing machines, bringing the cumulative total for January to June 2023 to 233,400 units, showcasing a 9.1% increase over the previous year.
The upward trajectory continued in June 2023, with large enterprises producing 21,200 washing machines. The production from January to May 2023 reached 212,300 units, demonstrating a substantial 14.9% growth compared to the same period in 2022.
In May 2023, large enterprises contributed 39,000 washing machines to the overall production, while the period from January to March 2023 saw the manufacturing of 142,400 household washing machines. This reflects an 18.6% increase compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
March 2023 alone witnessed the production of 42,300 household washing machines, underlining the steady expansion of Uzbekistan's washing machine manufacturing sector.
