This initiative aims to ensure adherence to the stringent technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), reflecting a commitment to quality and compliance in bilateral transactions, TASS reports.
Manturov underscored the paramount importance of this cooperation, particularly within the energy sector, signaling an intent to fortify energy-related engagements. The multifaceted collaboration is not confined to product supply but extends to the core of Uzbekistan's industrial infrastructure through laboratory enhancements.
Beyond the immediate economic dimensions, Manturov reiterated Russia's support for Uzbekistan's aspirations to develop its mineral resource base autonomously. Crucially, the partnership has already yielded successful joint projects in the form of geological exploration for oil and gas in the Aral Sea. Manturov revealed a groundbreaking achievement—the first seismic exploration work for hydrocarbon raw materials on Uzbekistan's territory. This collaborative trajectory is further solidified by a trilateral agreement between Uzbekistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan. The agreement, concluded in early November, outlines plans for the transit of 1 mn tons of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan in 2024.
