The Embassy of Uzbekistan officially opened its doors in Doha, marking a milestone in the growing relationship between Uzbekistan and Qatar, Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The establishment of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Doha signifies a significant step in fostering bilateral cooperation and understanding.
"Undoubtedly, these embassies will serve to strengthen our relations," he said.
This move is a tangible demonstration of the dedication to strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
The positive trajectory in diplomatic relations is reciprocated, with Qatar opening a diplomatic mission in Tashkent in May. This reciprocal engagement sets the stage for increased collaboration across various sectors.
Recently, Qatar has formally implemented a 30-day visa-free arrangement for Uzbekistan citizens, adding Uzbekistan to the list of 101 countries eligible for visa-free access to Qatar. Nevertheless, specific conditions apply: visitors must have a passport valid for at least six months upon arrival and present a return ticket or evidence of onward travel.
Earlier Daryo reported thatfFollowing discussions between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a ceremony marked the signing of various bilateral agreements. These encompass collaboration in tourism and business, social protection, internal affairs, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar. Additionally, agreements were reached on religious affairs, human rights, and the establishment of a joint businessmen's council. These agreements reflect the commitment to fostering diverse cooperation between the two nations, spanning economic, social, and cultural spheres.
