On the 23rd of October this year, a meeting took place between the Minister of Transport, Ilhom Maxkamov, and Hamad Iso Abdullo, the Deputy Minister of Transport of the State of Qatar.
During their discussions, both countries explored avenues to further enhance their collaborative efforts in the field of transportation. Particular emphasis was placed on the implementation of the trans-Afghan railway project, with consideration given to the involvement of the State of Qatar. Representatives from "Uzbekistan Railways" were also present at the meeting to present their perspective on this project.
Additionally, in pursuit of strengthening bilateral cooperation in civil aviation, deliberations on introducing flights on the Doha-Tashkent-Doha route were held, with "Qatar Airways" airline playing a pivotal role.
Deputy Minister of Transport of the State of Qatar, Hamad Iso Abdullo, disclosed that the internal processes in the State are currently underway, and it is planned to commence flights by the end of March 2024, as part of the efforts to employ advanced technologies and transportation collaboration.
