In a step towards fostering international collaboration and promoting sustainable development, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan welcomed Ali Al Dhaheri, the Chief Executive and Managing Director of "Tadweer" company, during his practical visit to the vibrant city of Dubai on December 2, president's press service reported.
The meeting aimed to discuss and assess the plans of Tadweer, the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company, in implementing electricity production projects in Uzbekistan. Tadweer, a key player in waste management under the ADQ umbrella, has expressed its commitment to contributing to Uzbekistan's national sustainability ambitions through the integration of advanced technological solutions.
Tadweer plays a pivotal role as the sole custodian of waste management for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The company is dedicated to developing an integrated waste management sector and aspires to be a leader in extracting value from waste to support sustainability goals.
The discussions during the meeting focused on Tadweer's vision for introducing cutting-edge technological solutions in Uzbekistan, with an emphasis on sustainable practices and environmentally friendly energy production. President Mirziyoyev expressed his keen interest in collaborating with Tadweer to leverage its expertise in waste management and explore opportunities for sustainable electricity generation within the country.
This meeting with Tadweer is part of a series of engagements with leaders of prominent companies in various sectors. Earlier, President Mirziyoyev held discussions with representatives from ADQ Holding, TAQA Group, Masdar, Amea Power,SWS Holding and Air Products. The agenda of these meetings encompassed the exploration and implementation of promising projects across different areas in Uzbekistan.
