    Uzbekistan and ITOCHU Corporation forge strategic partnership in diplomatic and economic talks

    In a diplomatic and economic development, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kochkarov, engaged in discussions with Masahiro Imai, Senior Vice Representative for External Relations of "ITOCHU Corporation." The meeting, held at a crucial juncture, saw the participation of key representatives from both sides, aiming to pave the way for enhanced collaboration between Uzbekistan and the globally renowned ITOCHU Corporation.

    Accompanying Deputy Prime Minister Kochkarov were Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Bobur Khodzhayev, and the Director of the Department, Temirmalik Khalikov. The ITOCHU Corporation delegation comprised Tsutsui Hiroshi, General Manager of the PR Department; Shibata Toshitaka, Manager of the Nuclear Fuel Department; and Nakayama Shotaro, Head of the Representative Office in Tashkent.

    ITOCHU Corporation, a prominent international trade organization with a diverse portfolio spanning textiles, metals, minerals, energy, real estate, chemical products, food products, information and communication technologies, and more, expressed a keen interest in investing in Uzbekistan. The corporation has actively engaged in trade, import, export, and various financial ventures, including investment projects both in Japan and globally.

    The discussions primarily centered around crucial economic sectors in Uzbekistan, with Masahiro Imai underlining ITOCHU Corporation's strong interest in contributing to the country's economic development. Recognizing the immense potential of Uzbekistan, Imai conveyed the corporation's readiness to actively participate in various sectors, with a particular emphasis on exploring opportunities in the automobile industry.

    During the meeting, the ITOCHU Corporation representative highlighted the interest of Japanese investors in fostering business development in Uzbekistan. The corporation expressed a commitment to supporting and cultivating cooperation, especially in terms of investment and collaboration with small businesses.

    The deliberations marked a pivotal step towards fortifying the collaboration between Uzbekistan and ITOCHU Corporation. Both parties expressed their commitment to sustaining the momentum generated during the meeting and outlined concrete plans and ideas for future cooperation. The discussions underscored the shared vision for fostering economic growth and mutual benefit, solidifying the foundation for a robust and enduring partnership between Uzbekistan and ITOCHU Corporation.
