In a recent visit to five prominent house museums in Tashkent, Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed her deep appreciation for the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. The museums, which include the Gafur Gulyam, Tamara Khanum, Ural Tansykbaev, Sergei Yesenin, and Sergei Borodin, each represent a unique facet of the nation’s rich history and culture.
These museums help us better understand the richness and diversity of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage. Preserving this memory is our common responsibility and task.
However, she noted with concern that all the house museums in the capital are in dire need of reconstruction. She emphasized the importance of developing the institution of cultural patronage to promote and support such museums.
Mirziyoyeva assured, “I want to assure that all necessary measures will soon be taken to restore the appearance and improve the condition of all cultural institutions that preserve the memory of great creators.”
Her commitment to preserving and enhancing these cultural institutions underscores the importance of cultural heritage in the national narrative and identity of Uzbekistan.
