The tumult unfolded during a concert by the Kazakh artist at the Tashkent Humo Arena complex from Saturday night into Sunday. Videos circulated on social media platforms depicted extensive queues, chaotic situations, and altercations among the attendees. It has been suggested that some individuals were unable to access the concert due to the acquisition of counterfeit tickets from unauthorized sellers.

The Uzbekistan National Guard labeled the incident as a riot. Individuals suspected of violating public order were promptly removed from the arena, effectively preventing potential negative outcomes. The National Guard's swift intervention successfully dispersed the crowd, ensuring the safety of all citizens without any reported injuries. An ongoing investigation is being conducted to examine the circumstances surrounding the events, as clarified by the National Guard.

Subsequent findings by the National Guard revealed that over 10 thousand electronic tickets were purchased for the concert program. iTicket personnel, utilizing QR codes, verified citizens' tickets. Law enforcement agencies discovered instances where citizens resold or duplicated the same ticket for multiple individuals, leading to complications at the checkpoint and resulting in a crush at the entrance to Humo Arena.

The National Guard emphasized that some citizens engaged in the repeated sale of electronic tickets for personal gain, prompting a criminal investigation. Authorities urged the public to purchase electronic tickets exclusively from official websites and designated ticket sales points to avoid such issues.

In an effort to prevent similar incidents in the future, representatives from the National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, and the iTicket company plan to convene discussions on specific measures to enhance security and deter fraudulent ticket activities.
