The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, engaged in crucial discussions on November 24 during his working visit to Baku with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
The talks centered on a comprehensive range of issues, including bilateral trade, economic collaboration, cultural exchanges, and humanitarian efforts. Both leaders explored avenues for further strengthening the ties between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
Expressing gratitude for accepting the invitation to participate in the Summit of Heads of State of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia, President Aliyev warmly welcomed the Kyrgyz delegation. He acknowledged the close bond between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, underscoring the importance of addressing matters such as increasing trade turnover and fostering investment policies for the mutual benefit of both nations.
President Aliyev fondly recalled his state visit to Kyrgyzstan and eagerly anticipated President Japarov's return state visit to Azerbaijan next year.
President Japarov, in turn, expressed satisfaction at the unprecedented level of interstate relations achieved in recent years. He emphasized the value that Kyrgyzstan places on its friendship and mutual support with Azerbaijan, highlighting the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, President Japarov commended the progress made in strengthening ties at the highest levels of government, parliament, and industry departments. He recalled the significant steps taken during the state visit of President Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan in October last year, leading to the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
President Japarov urged competent authorities to expedite the practical launch of the Fund's activities and commence the implementation of mutually beneficial projects. The leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening the strategic partnership, setting the stage for continued collaboration and growth between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
