Uzbekistan’s Information Technology (IT) sector is undergoing substantial growth, anticipating a surge in exports reaching $300mn this year, marking a remarkable 100% increase from 2022, Emerging Europe reports.
In parallel, the IT Park-based companies are uniting to employ 24,000 IT professionals, projecting a third more than the previous year. With an attractive tax structure and added incentives, this surge offers a promising landscape for business and investment opportunities for UK companies.
Set for November 29, London will be the host city for a dedicated conference spotlighting Uzbekistan as an emerging outsourcing destination. The primary objective of this conference is to exhibit Uzbekistan’s considerable outsourcing potential and to encourage a mutually beneficial collaboration between Uzbekistan and the IT industry in the United Kingdom.
The event aims to bring together around 20 leaders from British IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, alongside notable experts and enthusiasts from the outsourcing sector. The conference will begin with a warm welcome from a representative of the Uzbekistan Embassy in the United Kingdom.
Following the inaugural address, a panel discussion will center on delineating the advantages of collaboration between the UK’s IT industry and Uzbekistan’s IT Park. Esteemed guests from Global Tech Advocates, the Global Sourcing Association, Stephen Simeon, and Abdurakhim Kadirov, the director of Realsoft, a resident company of the IT Park, are expected to contribute to this discussion. The panel will be moderated by Andrew Wrobel, a founding partner of Emerging Europe and the leader of the Tech Emerging Europe Advocates community, which is part of the Global Tech Advocates network.
The conference will culminate with a presentation from the IT Park, introducing the comprehensive program and initiatives tailored for export-oriented companies, such as Zero Risk and Local2Global. Furthermore, the details of the forthcoming Offshore Outsourcing Tour, scheduled for the following year, will be disclosed.
The conference agenda includes dedicated networking time, offering an ideal platform for representatives from the UK and Uzbekistan’s technological sectors to explore prospects for mutually advantageous collaboration.
